The Long Wait is Coming to an End

The long awaited tekken movie is now on its track. Tekken the movie will be helmed by Dwight Little director of Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, Steven Seagal's Marked for Death, and Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home. In recent years, Little has focused on TV work, with stints on popular Fox shows like 24, Prison Break, and Bones. Production is scheduled to begin February 4 in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Tekken film has been in the works since 2002, when production company Crystal Sky Pictures picked up the rights for it for a reported 60$ million. After lying dormant in recent years, the project resurfaced in October when a teaser poster hit the web.

Tekken 6!!

Namco's gonna hit the charts again with this all-time favorite fighting game. Although many says that VF has the upper hand when it comes to graphics in fighting games in PS3, Tekken 6 will definitely outwit it when it comes to gameplay.

Instant Max Drive

If you want you drive bar maxed, all you have to do, is, Go to the Underworld tournament. Talk to Panic, after talking to him, A screen of all Tournaments pop up.

Go to any one, and once you enter the first battle, Your Drive Bar will be completely filled. Pause, and select quit. When you leave, your bar is still full.

This will help you level up forms and summons quicker.

Also, if you return to the world map while in a drive form you will have a full drive gauge.

Quick Summon/Form Levelling

In Space Paranoids, just use any form or summon, and let the form/summon meter count down until it's almost gone. Then, immediately board the Solar Sailer. Your form/summon will be cancelled, but your drive gauge will be returned to its original state. Ride the Solar Sailer, then use the form/summon again. After the ride is over, head back and all of the enemies will return. Repeat until forms and summons are maxed. Obviously, this will not work for Final Form, since there aren't any Nobodies in Space Paranoids, but the other forms and the summons can be levelled freely, without any pesky drive-gauge refilling. It's possible that this trick works in other areas, too, but I have not explored it (the Black Pearl is an idea though).

Also, to level summons specifically, the experience counter seems to increment when the summon meter ticks down a notch. If your timing is good, try to kill enemies with drive orbs right when the meter is going to drop a level. If you can keep the meter almost full as you collect the orbs, you can make it oscillate between two numbers, netting extra experience for your summons. With this, you can get over 30 exp every time you use a summon.

What's new on Wii

Wrestling hits Nintendo Wii. And they did a little tweaking about the controls.
Usually we complain about developers trying to do too much with the Wii motion controls, but SvR 2008 does a fine job of mapping out all of your various strikes, grapples and other moves to a controller scheme that is easy enough for anyone to pick up. Strikes are executed with a wave of the Wiimote, Irish Whips are performed by waving the Nunchuk and one of the new features, the taunt system, actually allows you to motion the taunts that the wrestlers perform. There's nothing quite like telling your opponent to "Suck It!" by motioning the taunt made famous by Degeneration X.

Latest Game on PSP

Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade may be the hottest RPG on the platform; it's not only an RPG with the requisite four main types of characters, but also a multiplayer RPG where wireless connectivity will enable players to join in the action, and from our brief look, it already works smoothly, nearly seamlessly.

CRAZY GAME

Very FUNNY

Hardest Mario Game

another CRAZY game

Square Enix owns UE3

Square Enix Licenses Unreal Engine 3

ff13.jpg
As everyone else, Square Enix too is impressed by the Unreal Engine 3, so much that they’re licensing it for their future projects. While Final Fantasy XIII is built using their own, and equally impressive White Engine, the licensing of UE3 might hint that Square Enix is moving towards multi-platform titles, since the UE3 is optimized for all next-gen (we’re still using that term?) platforms.

Street Fighter 4

What could be better than Capcom bringing back Bionic Commando? How about Street Fighter IV? Games Radar is reporting from the Capcom Gamer's Day in London that the 4th game in the series has been officially confirmed. A stylized trailer of Ken and Ryu fighting was shown, but no actual gameplay footage, and while development has started the game is still more than a year away for whatever platform it ends up coming out on, Still, we can all rest easy that it is indeed on the way.

Along with this amazing news, Capcom also announced Lost Planet for the PS3, a new Ace Attorney game for the Nintendo DS featuring and new main character, and an all-new sci-fi action adventure game called Dark Void. It takes a special kind of company to wait 20 years from the release of the original game to finally get to number four in the series. I can't wait for the year 2012, when we'll be playing Super Street FIghter IV Hyper Mega Hologram Remix. Yum.

:: RESURRECTING AERIS - courtesy of Lili Anderson ::

Unbelievably, in FF7, Aeris can be brought back to life. All you need is a few items and a hell of a lot of time and patience. This is not fake, there are screenshots to back this up as you will see. I have also talked to at least 4 people who have done it.

1. ITEMS

First of all there are items you will need to successfully get Aeris back, these are as follow:

PC or PlayStation version of Final Fantasy VII
4 Tissues (get by losing in the Battle Arena)
Buster Sword (for it's association woth Aeris)
1 Mastered Revive Materia

2. RESURRECT

Not many people know that the Revive materia can be levelled up past 3 stars. There is a secret 4th star which holds an ability named resurrect. To get this ability, you must earn somewhere between 800,000 and 1,500,000 AP. There is a catch though. You MUST have the Buster Sword equipped and the Revive materia fastened to it before you can gain AP for it.

3. GETTING AP

This is the long part but believe me it is worth it!!! Go to a place where enemies give a lot of AP. Examples are the Gelnika, Mideel Beach and The North Crater. I would recommend the North Crater. Once you get to the bit where your party splits up, go left and then up. Go to the right of the screen and get into a fight. 7 out of 10 times you will be up against a small pot with a purple creature inside it. Use the W-Item trick to get loads of elixirs and give it one. When you kill it (they aren't very hard) you should get 1000 AP for it, do NOT be tempted to use a double or triple growth weapon to up your AP because the Revive materia will not gain AP unless it is on the Buster Sword. Magic Pots can come singly, in 2s and in 3s. This means there can be upto 3000 AP up for grabs just for one fight!

4. AERIS'S HOUSE

Now you have the Resurrect ability, visit Aeris's House in Sector 5 of Midgar. Go into her room (the one on the right) and use the 4 tissues. Cloud should break down and shout "Why did you have to die?". Cloud will then go outside and tell the others his desire to bring back Aeris. The will be doubtful at first but will eventually agree.

5. FLOWERS BLOOMING IN THE CHURCH

Once Cloud has regained his composure, go to the Church in sector 4. Make sure Cait Sith is in your party, then talk to the kid on the right. She will want to play with Cait Sith (seeing as he is a cat!) and they will all go outside. Aeris's spirit should appear in the flowers telling you about the Resurrect Spell and to go to the Forgotten City. This is your next destination.

6. THE CRYSTAL PEDESTAL

Remember the waterfall where you saw Aeris pray for Holy? This is where you Cloud will perform the resurrect spell. Go up to the Pedestal and press the OK button. Cloud will put the materia on the altar then kneel and pray. The materia shoudl become an extremely bright orb of light and then shatter into a million pieces. Aeris's spirit will now tell you to return to the Church.

7. REUNITED

Now that you have performed the Resurrect Spell, when you see Aeris's ghost in the Church, it should become solid. At this moment Aeris will say "Don't worry Cloud, it really is me. Maybe now we can do all those things we never finished first time around." And there you have it, Aeris is back! Now you can take her on the Highwind just like you promised!

FF VII Crisis Core

Overview of Crisis Core

Graphics: Probably the best-looking game on the PSP, the graphics are absolutely phenomenal, bringing the previously Lego-like characters to life and rivaling even some of Advent Children's most remarkable scenes. 10/10

Gameplay: Although the battle system is difficult to get used to at first, once you get the hang of it and use it to its full potential, it can lead to some of the most fulfilling action in recent action RPGs. 8/10

Sound: Perfectly timed, brilliantly-composed music and top-notch voice acting renders the sound of Crisis Core flawless. 10/10

Length & Replayability: The main storyline can be completed in merely 10 to 15 hours, and although the extra missions can add a few dozen hours, a few more lengthy side-quests wouldn't hurt. 7/10

Story: Although the addition of several important characters could possibly damage the authenticity of the original game to some fans, Crisis Core would've been rather predictable without them. The events that occurred in Final Fantasy VII have been extended and elaborated upon, and can be very nostalgic and enthralling to fans of the original game. 8/10
_______________________

Crisis Core is the title that put Final Fantasy VII back on its feet, and made it soar. It succeeds on so many levels, and could be enjoyed (although slightly less understood) even by gamers who've never played the original game. It's also surprisingly import-friendly, and, with the help of a few guides and a Katakana chart, can be completed without speaking a word of Japanese, although the most important part of the game—the plot—will be missed out. For anyone who wants to enjoy a mature, exciting and moving video game, do yourself a favor and get your hands on the masterpiece that is Crisis Core.

Can't complete it??

Tired of finishing the game but not being able to complete every characters item or all the special movies in the game? I myself have experienced that same frustrating feeling that most of the gamers have felt, finishing the game but not being able to unlock everything. So I have decided to make a forum with a database for some of the most famous RPG's so that i can help out those guys that experienced the same feeling that I felt.

FF XIII

Sony: FFXIII PS3 exclusivity under discussion
Sony France executive says in interview that Square Enix's latest installment may not be exclusive to the console after all.
By Emma Boyes, GameSpot UK
Posted Mar 22, 2007 6:36 am PT

One more platform-exclusive title may be going multiplatform, it has been revealed. The latest news appears to be that Square Enix's latest epic role-playing game, Final Fantasy XIII, may follow other titles--including Saints Row, Assassin's Creed, and Devil May Cry 4--that have now been announced as appearing on at least one other platform as well.

Sony Computer Entertainment France president Georges Fornay dropped the bombshell in an interview with French-language newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace (subscription required). He said, "The development costs of games have exploded, and it has become more difficult to have exclusives, outside of our own games. But we have for launch day [in France] 30 games, including MotorStorm, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Virtua Fighter 5. Moreover, we are expecting 200 games [for the PS3] by the end of 2007...As far as Final Fantasy XIII goes, I can tell you that the exclusivity is in discussion."

Fornay went on to say that he believed that the PS3 would be particularly successful in France, and that there had been approximately 60,000 preorders made (compared to 40,000 made for the Xbox 360, and 75,000 for the Wii). France will be getting approximately 150,000 of the 1 million consoles allocated to PAL regions.

He also answered questions about backward compatibility for the next-gen console, responding to fears that the console would not support many PS2 titles without the Emotion Engine. Fornay said, "Now, if you ask me whether this was a blow to the launch, I would say that [Sony] would have done better to be sure that the console would be completely backward compatible before announcing it. But hey, when it becomes clear what the PS3 is capable of, gamers won't really fancy playing PS2 [games] anymore..."

Square Enix had not returned calls to comment as of press time.
